Brief
Two sides of a story - negative and positive/good and bad.
To design an information booklet using typography and graphic elements to reflect and tell both sides of a story. The story must derive from the 4 elements including earth, fire, water and wind.
The story I chose to design for was about Songkran (Thai New Year) which was directly associated with water.
Design Concept
'The beginning of the end. The end of the beginning.'
On the positive side, Songkran, also known as water-throwing festival, is traditionally a Thai New Year where Thais celebrate and get together as a family. On negative side, it is a festival of tragedy. Each year people died in serious road accidents caused by drink driving.
Process
Research, edit and summarize body copies.
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
