Anonymous Typeface
Brief
This was a typeface design brief. The aim was to explore how story can be told through typeface design. I was to create a typeface which portrays a personal aspect of the Cuba street in Wellington, New Zealand.
Design Concept
Identity is a key concept of this piece. It was inspired by graffiti and tags found on various doors down the street. A connotative meanings of footprints is identity. The shape of each letterform was created through negative space of pencil traced drawing of shoe soles.
